How Hawk Roof Repair Was Born in Ontario
We started Hawk Roof Repair in 2017 because of a roof we couldn’t stop thinking about. An older couple in Ontario had paid another company to replace their roof the year before. The work looked fine from the street, but their ceiling was staining in two bedrooms every time it rained. The first company came back three times, caulked around a vent pipe, and sent another invoice. When we got up there, we found flashing that had been reused from the old roof and nailed down in the wrong order. Water was running behind it like a gutter. The fix took a morning. The materials cost less than a tank of gas. But that couple had already spent thousands of dollars they didn’t have twice. That job stayed with us. We kept asking the same question: how does work that wrong leave a driveway with a satisfied handshake? The answer, we realized, is that nobody was checking. Nobody was training to a standard. Nobody was treating a roof like something a family lives under. We started Hawk Roof Repair because we thought Ontario deserved a roofing company where the person who shakes your hand is the person who answers for the work. That was the whole idea then. It still is.
Our Founder’s Personal Connection to the Roofing Trade
Roofing got into our blood the way most trades do: through the hands. Before we ever owned a company, we worked on crews across the Inland Empire. The first summer was Chino and Montclair, tear-offs in July heat that radiated off the shingles in waves you could see. What we remember most isn’t the heat. It’s the smell of hot asphalt in the morning, the weight of a bundle on your shoulder, the sound of a nail gun stitching across plywood. There’s a rhythm to it. And there’s a satisfaction that shows up at the end of the day when you stand back and see a roof that wasn’t there when the sun came up. A real roof, with clean lines and tight flashing, that will shed rain for decades.
The deeper connection came later. We started noticing what a good roof meant to the people underneath it. A leak isn’t just a maintenance issue. It’s a stain spreading across a bedroom ceiling. It’s a bucket in the hallway at 2 a.m. It’s a homeowner who holds their breath when the forecast calls for rain. We’ve been the person who goes up there and finds what everyone else missed. We’ve been the person who tells the homeowner the truth, even when the truth is “the last company cut corners.” That conversation isn’t fun, but it builds something better. It builds trust. After more than ten years in this trade, we still get up every morning wanting to be the roofer who does it right the first time and stands behind it. If we weren’t roofing, we’d probably be teaching it. But we’d rather be on the roof.
Meet Our Team – The Person Behind Every Job
Hawk Roof Repair is owned and operated by our founder, who has spent more than ten years in the roofing trade across Southern California. He learned the work the old way: on the roof, alongside experienced tradesmen, in the heat and the wind and the rain, until the right way was muscle memory. He’s trained on the materials we install and the systems that keep water out, and he’s pulled back more bad flashing and repaired more botched valleys than he cares to count.
What separates him from a corporate franchise technician is simple: he lives with the work. When he walks a roof in Ontario, he’s not clocking hours. He’s thinking about what that roof will look like in fifteen years. Off the roof, he’s the kind of person who fixes things properly instead of patching them, and who believes a handshake should mean something. His personal commitment to every customer is this: we won’t leave your roof until we’d be comfortable with our own family living under it.
Our Promise to Ontario Homeowners
Our promise comes down to three things: honest pricing, quality parts, and standing behind every job.
Honest pricing means a written line-item estimate before work begins. You see exactly what you’re paying for, and the price doesn’t change once we start unless we find something unexpected and you approve it first. We’ve walked away from jobs where the math didn’t make sense for the homeowner rather than do work that wasn’t needed.
Quality parts means we install materials proven in Southern California’s sun and wind. We work with brands like GAF, CertainTeed, and Tamko because we know how they hold up through years of Riverside County weather.
Standing behind every job means if something we installed fails because of our workmanship, we come back and fix it. That’s not a slogan on a flyer. It’s the only way we know how to run a company that wants to be in Ontario for the long haul.
Our Credentials
When you hire a roofing company in Ontario, you deserve to know who’s on your property. Here’s where we stand:
- State-licensed: We operate under the licensing required by the state of California. Every pro working under our name is required to hold the license and insurance their state requires.
- Insured & bonded: We carry the coverage homeowners should expect from any roofing contractor working on their home.
- Years of local experience: We’ve been working roofs in the Inland Empire since 2017, with more than a decade of trade experience behind that.
- Strong local reputation: Our business has grown on word of mouth from homeowners across Ontario, Upland, Rancho Cucamonga, Chino, and the surrounding communities.
Those credentials matter because roofing is one of the few trades where mistakes hide for years. A bad flashing job might not show itself until the first heavy storm. By then, the cheap bid is long forgotten. We’d rather earn your trust with the paperwork and the workmanship than ask you to take our word for it.
Rooted in Ontario
Ontario is home. We work roofs from the historic neighborhoods north of the 10 to the newer developments near the airport, and we know how the local weather treats a roof: high sun, dry heat, sudden winter storms. We know the streets and the homeowners and the particular way afternoon heat rises off the foothills. We’re not a call center dispatching to a zip code. When you call us, a live coordinator answers during business hours and connects you with a team that knows this area because we’ve worked here for years. Our business hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, closed Saturday. Call (877) 731-1384 to schedule your free estimate.
